Let's Get Lippy!

I am a lipstick girl through and through... probably always will be, and I realized I never got around to doing a post about my favorite fall shades! oops! Oh well, better late than never right?

Okey Ladies so that's Rebel by M.A.C. and she is absolute perfection. If I am having a less than par day in the looks department I almost always put on a dark shade. Sometimes, if I don't feel like putting on makeup to run errands I'll slap on some rebel and my sunglasses and call it a day.

Mineralized Rich Luxe Natural... ugh....ugh.... I love.
It's clearly suited for more of a fresh faced day, but for my skin tone, it works really well. I'm also dying over nude lips these days so it's pretty much perfect for that.

Ruby Woo by M.A.C is a standard matte red. It last extremely long since it's a matte color but it kind of dries out your lips so you HAVE to moisturize before. So do that, or else it gets weird and crusty... and no one likes that.

And if you want to splurge...

Like I'm sorry... what???
As you can see Tom Ford was reading my mind when he created his 2013 Fall lipstick line. UGH... There is one extra color not shown here but these three have pretty much been my go-to colors for fall.

  • Vanilla Suade (Left)
  • Crimson Noir (Middle)
  • Bruised Plum (Right)

THE COAT CLOSET

There are few things I love in life more than a perfect coat. I was reminded of this fun little character trait of mine when I went to post about my beloved leather jackets and simply finding them was an effort in itself. Below is a photo of the coat closet residing in my home and I felt it would be fun to tear it apart and play dress up. So that is what I did..

So yes... Here she is... the coat closet. The eclectic range of colors and patterns had never been as alarming to me as it is looking at it right now but I have to say, I have some cool coats. (Some will most likely never see the light of day, but I am a clothing hoarder and so they shall live in that closet forever most likely.)

Here are a few examples of my day of dressing up...

                                                              THE CHEERLEADER

This coat reminds me of a high school cheerleader so it is now called my cheerleader jacket. I actually wore it with that side ponytail and fuschia lipstick to the Aquarium in Toronto. I know... Random.

THE CARRIE BRADSHAW

Do you remember the night when Carrie went on her first real date with Mr. Big and she wore "the dress" and a massive fur coat. Ya this is that coat. (In faux version of coarse)

THE RANDOM LEOPARD COAT THAT I LOVE WAY TOO MUCH

So, I'm having a bit of a leopard moment these days.. I'm actually not even sure why, but this coat makes it out of that closet way more than it probably should.

THE STAPLE JEAN JACKET

Everyone should have a jean jacket. I generally prefer that it always be vintage. I seem to go through  Love/Hate phases with jean jackets but I've noticed that they seem to always come full circle... so just don't throw it out. Unless it's really ugly... then get a nicer one. :)

THE DANNY ZUKO

well... you know how I feel about my leather jackets.

The Leather Jacket.

I've been loving the leather jacket these days. I spent pretty much all of last winter hunting for the perfect one with no luck. Ironically, in the past few months I have found 3 that I can't live without and of course the temperatures are beginning to drop lower than my beloved leathers can handle. Regardless, I've decided I am going to choose to suffer and wear them completely through the winter because one or two months of wear just does not do them justice. I suffer for clothes sometimes... but I'm ok with it.

This jacket is vintage, but Vera Moda makes a great one that is extremely well priced, and if you want to get a little crazy with the credit card go to All Saints -- but I'm warning you, you will love everything and most things cost about a months rent.

Shoes Please...

Sometimes money I should be spending on food ends up going towards shoes... oops.

TODAY'S OUTFIT

I am spending the weekend in Winnipeg and although the weather has been slightly chillier than Toronto, I have been getting away without having to wear a jacket. (Which makes me a very happy girl)

MY TOP 5 BEAUTY OBSESSIONS

So I am sort of a girl of relentless tradition -- I have a few beauty items that I literally obsess over to sometimes a bit of an unhealthy point. I thought I would share some of these items with you since all of them are major contributers to my daily routine, and just make me an all around happier girl.

1) RAW ORGANIC VIRGIN COCONUT OIL
This had to be first on my list because I pretty much marinate in this stuff from head to toe. I could go on forever about how amazing coconut oil is. It can be used on your face, hair and entire body and has about a thousand and one health benefits. The great thing about coconut oil is it can be used on all skin types -- even if it's prone to breakouts. It has changed my entire complexion and the best part is, it's all natural! $20

2) M.A.C STUDIO FIX

I use this religiously and finish it completely every single time I buy it. It literally covers every single blemish without fail -- which lets face it, we all need every once in a while. $36

3) MOROCCAN OIL

I have tried different types of argon and Moroccan oil to try to beat the price point on this and I just haven't been able to find a good comparison. It costs about 50 dollars but it is honestly worth every penny and it smells fricken unbelievable. $49.98 (For a big bottle)

4) PACO RABBANE ONE MILLION

If you have been searching for a new scent you should definitely consider this. Now it is actually a male cologne but has such a sweet, sexy smell, I couldn't resist making it my everyday scent. I have been wearing it for 2 years now and am pretty much full on obsessed now.

5) RIMMEL LASTING FINISH PRO

This is hands down, by far the best top coat I have ever used in my life. It will keep your nails chip free for at least 4 or 5 days if not longer, and looks like a shellac manicure. It's the best, I promise.
