Shoes Please...

Sometimes money I should be spending on food ends up going towards shoes... oops.

TODAY'S OUTFIT

I am spending the weekend in Winnipeg and although the weather has been slightly chillier than Toronto, I have been getting away without having to wear a jacket. (Which makes me a very happy girl)

MY TOP 5 BEAUTY OBSESSIONS

So I am sort of a girl of relentless tradition -- I have a few beauty items that I literally obsess over to sometimes a bit of an unhealthy point. I thought I would share some of these items with you since all of them are major contributers to my daily routine, and just make me an all around happier girl.

1) RAW ORGANIC VIRGIN COCONUT OIL
This had to be first on my list because I pretty much marinate in this stuff from head to toe. I could go on forever about how amazing coconut oil is. It can be used on your face, hair and entire body and has about a thousand and one health benefits. The great thing about coconut oil is it can be used on all skin types -- even if it's prone to breakouts. It has changed my entire complexion and the best part is, it's all natural! $20

2) M.A.C STUDIO FIX

I use this religiously and finish it completely every single time I buy it. It literally covers every single blemish without fail -- which lets face it, we all need every once in a while. $36

3) MOROCCAN OIL

I have tried different types of argon and Moroccan oil to try to beat the price point on this and I just haven't been able to find a good comparison. It costs about 50 dollars but it is honestly worth every penny and it smells fricken unbelievable. $49.98 (For a big bottle)

4) PACO RABBANE ONE MILLION

If you have been searching for a new scent you should definitely consider this. Now it is actually a male cologne but has such a sweet, sexy smell, I couldn't resist making it my everyday scent. I have been wearing it for 2 years now and am pretty much full on obsessed now.

5) RIMMEL LASTING FINISH PRO

This is hands down, by far the best top coat I have ever used in my life. It will keep your nails chip free for at least 4 or 5 days if not longer, and looks like a shellac manicure. It's the best, I promise.

TODAY'S OUTFIT: SPENDING THE DAY CASTING SPELLS

For the past two weeks I have been in the process of moving into an extremely glorious home -- well, soon-to-be glorious that is, as it's in complete renovation mode as of now. Even though I'm having a blast creating what I hope will eventually be my dream home, it has been one of the most time consuming projects I have taken on in a while. Spending all that time with a paint brush in my hand has taken me away from many things, blogging being one of them, (mostly because my current wardrobe has consisted predominantly of paint covered sweats) But I'll be back at in full force from here on out! :)

Now for the important stuff... hats -- I am having a hard time pulling them off lately. I feel like it takes a long time to find the right hat, or maybe I'm just picky... Regardless, I don't think they are always an easy accessory, so if you're starting to lose faith in them, don't fret, you probably just haven't found the perfect one yet!

S&M

So fall is officially here and I am just about the happiest girl on the planet about it. I have come to realize putting together layered looks might be one of the favorite passed times. (I wish I was kidding.) As the temperatures have started to drop I've found myself trying to get creative with how to stay warm, and I have ventured to a few places I never thought I would find myself. One, for instance, leather on leather.... which had never really been my thing. But as you can see, I've gone a little biker with it and paired a leather vest with my skinny leather pants, and hey! I don't hate it! You definitely have to soften the look up somehow (I chose a cream colored knit sweater) but this fall definitely bring your S&M self out a little. I'm telling you, you wont regret it.

Last Chance for the Sundress

As much as I hate to see summer withering away, I am starting to realize I am far more a lover of Fall. One thing I am definitely sad about though, is the the fact that my sundresses will soon need to be kept tucked away for three full seasons.

My hats and sunglasses on the other hand have become year-round accessories, and I am sort of excited to start pairing them with outfits that include layers and knits... even if it does mean saying good-bye to the hot hot heat.
