I can't be certain exactly how it happened, but at some point someone decided that overalls were going to make a major resurgence... and they did. Being a shameless lover of all things rustic and country, you can be sure that I jumped on board the overall train with zero hesitation. I find that pairing them with a crop top keeps the look light and transforms it from country bumpkin, to city chic. 

On that note I'm sending this one out to all the small town girls living in the big city. To the girls who (every once in a while) may or may not listen to country music in their tiny apartments, and whose definition of the great outdoors does not mean sangria on a patio. (Even though they will definitely be on that patio drinking that Sangria more nights of the week than they are willing to admit.)

                                             A day in the Distillery District deserves a red lip.

I have been living in Toronto for four years now and I am not sure why it took so long but I just made my FIRST trip to the distillery district... Naturally I fell head over heels in love and am devastated that summer is coming to an end soon, and winter will surely limit me from spending every waking hour there.

On a more important note I have a semi-new found obsession with mixing prints. Now mixing prints, I'll admit, can be risky business, BUT if it is done properly can be such a head turner. (In the absolute best way)

This was my attempt at mixing prints while getting coffee in the distillery. (For the first time ever...)

Welcome to Cherry Street...

My esthetic existence has consisted of an evolution not unlike a revolving door. I will obsess over a look, and then before I can even understand why, I have moved on to something new. The idea of reinvention fascinates me, and lately I have realized that without even being completely aware of it, I have changed.  So to avoid any sort of emotional delving into the who, what and why, I have decided not to dwell but instead celebrate. So it will be here that I will preach... style is my art. It is interpretation, and expression, not to mention everything that allows us to be our bravest of selves in even the dullest of scenarios. About a week ago I went for wine at a lovely little Italian place on a side street of Toronto. Although summer is upon us the big guy upstairs seems to be gracing us mostly with temperatures ranging in the low twenties. The only good thing about that is the flexibility to wear pants in July.
